How do I register? Please see our online Registration Forms (Google Docs) for 3 year olds, or 4 & 5 year olds.
Can I take a tour of the school? Yes! We would love to show you around our campus and classrooms. Please contact us to schedule a tour. Tours are available Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-10:00AM or 1:00-1:30AM, beginning January 10th. Please note: tours are by appointment only.
Does my child have to be potty trained to attend preschool? Yes. St. David’s preschool is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia to operate as a preschool and not as a daycare, and therefore all students must be potty trained prior to starting school. Potty trained = they must wear underwear to school (NO pullups or diapers), be able to go into the bathroom, use the bathroom on their own, and pull up their clothing. Our teachers may help with zippers or buttons, but can not assist children with cleaning themselves.
How is class placement determined? Perspective students are placed in a lottery system, based on their age as of Sept 30, 2024, and first choice of class. Current preschool families are given first preference. The second lottery is for placement of Church Members and Alumni. Our third lottery drawing is for placement for community members (the public).
What is our snack policy? St. David’s preschool is a peanut and tree nut-free facility. Children are required to bring a nut-free, pre-packaged snack from home daily. Snacks must contain the ingredient list in order to be consumed at preschool. Fresh, UNCUT, fruit is allowed as well. Those students attending extended day classes bring lunches from home and need to be nut-free. Children with food allergies, epi-pens, etc will have a Food Action Plan determined during a meeting with the Director prior to starting school.
When are tuition payments due? Tuition payments are due on the 1st of the month, from Sept-April. May tuition is paid in advance with the completed Enrollment Packet. Any tuition received after the 5th of the month will automatically incur a $25 Late Fee. Payment options include personal check, automatic bank check, or cash.
